This was a statement made by an aging Prof. Abraham Van Helsing to a reporter doing a book on vampires. That statement was the only statement made by the Professor in regards to his days as a famous vampire hunter. He was 83 years old at the time of that statement with a grown son and a young grandson. He passed away two years later. His son and grandson, would carry on the family business, ridding the world of evil.
While tracking Dracula's path through Scotland, Abraham Van Helsing came across a relic he had only studied a handful of times after hearing an old legend. The legend of the Crystal Skulls. Abraham Van Helsing came across The Alpha Skull, the first crystal skull ever made. The Alpha Skull was a mystical house for spirits that had been some of humankind's earliest scholars. The spirits within the skull spoke to Van Helsing, informing him that his destiny was not to kill Dracula physically, but to kill the demon inside that makes him evil. To do this, he must make the world think that Dracula is dead, and lead him to the Skull of Righteousness.
It was the Alpha Skull that lead Van Helsing to Dracula less than a year after finding the relic. He was found hiding out in his castle. Dracula would confront Van Helsing, alone in the upper level of his castle. This is where Dracula would confess to having dreams of angels and death, and for some reason was drawn to Van Helsing. Abraham would then offer to help fake his death if he agreed to come with him and learn the meaning of his dreams. Van Helsing would then lead Dracula to the Skull, which he found in an unmarked grave in Scandinavia. From there, Van Helsing would leave Dracula to walk his own path of righteousness, and retire to the United States where he would raise his family. These events would take place about 30 years before the events in that famous book.
Abraham Van Helsing would go on to have a son. Thirty years later, that son would have a son of his own, Victor Van Helsing. Victor, like his father and grandfather before him, would go on to be a Professor... and Vampire Hunter. After a short stint as an archeologist, he would settle in at a University in Maine teaching students about ancient relics. He would have a son of his own, who would join the family tradition along side his son, Victor's grandson. The two disappeared in pursuit of a vampire two years ago, and since then, Victor Van Helsing would be the legal guardian of his son's other two children,
16 year old Amy and 8 year old Heather.
The remaining Van Helsings are left to fight alongside the Shadowclub Army, and against Satan's plan for total domination...
