Christmas Illumination + Comic Books = SUCCESS!!!

   This past Sunday, November 26th the city of Norfolk, Virginia celebrated their 6th Ocean View Christmas Illumination and Comics For Christmaswas a part of it! As you may know, Comics for Christmas is a non-profit organization founded by Truthful Comics' Manuel A. Carmona and his lovely wife Hannah-rose. The event was a tremendous success gathering thousands of people and the general consensus was that it was a fantastic evening. 

​​   Comics for Christmas gave away more than 1,500 comic books to all the kids in attendance. At first kids and parents alike didn't quite grasped the notion of a random couple buying thousands of comics just to hand them out to kids they don't know, but once they got over the initial shock and disbelief; kids and parents were ecstatic! Each kid got five (5) comics absolutely FREE and they were loving every minute as you'll see in the photos below.

   As we mentioned previously, Comics for Christmas is run by Manuel and his wife and they purchase at least 90% of the comic books they give away with the exception of a few kind souls who have donated comic books in the past.
