![]() Mentor to many. Creator of worlds. A big artistic and diverse voice in the indie community, he is the creator of the soon to be animated hit Jet Boy (among others), he is Corey "RocBottom" Davis, and he was kind enough to answer a few questions for this series of blogs. 1- What are you currently working on? Right now we are gearing up for 2022. We will be dropping three webcomics, two animated series, and four new published comics. The Punch Drunk City , the Babcock series, and Storybook Lane webcomics. Jet Boy and Shadowclub Karma Animated Series and new issues of all of the above will be on the site and in stores starting in January, along with Lion's Den Revolution. ![]() 2- What made you want to create comics? Lack of representation was a driving force. There wasn't many heroes that looked like me in comics when I was a kid, so I wanted to do more comics for kids that looked like me. 3- What advantage would you say making an indie comic have over working on a mainstream comic? More creative freedom, from what I've experienced. I love the idea of having the ability to create freely without the corporate restraints. I love seeing others have the ability to create at the same capacity.
![]() Once again, a huge thank you to Corey "RocBottom" Davis for his time, check out his stuff and spread the word. Thank you for reading, catch you all tomorrow with another suggestion, and we have a FANTASTIC lineup of indie creators that have been so cool enough to share some insights with us. So, this Wednesday another interview goes up with the legendary Jimmy Palmiotti. Catch you all next time! -Alvaro
