#GiftIndie The Crow

Welcome back to #GiftIndie! If you have a person in your life that likes tales of loss and revenge, or likes dark stories, The Crow definitely has a lot to offer.
One of the great things about this indie classic, is not just how great the story is, but you can really see the evolution of James O'Barr's art as well. You can see how there are barely if any ziptones used in the beginning of the story, how later on he uses it to differentiate backgrounds and foregrounds, some shadows, and the full on lush details the book has by the end making the book visually stunning.
Not to mention the book spawned a movie franchise and a TV series, it's become one of the most beloved stories/characters, especially on Halloween.
If you're into tales of loss and revenge, or know someone that appreciates that kind of stories, and even love stories, since this is in it's essence a love story, tragic as it may be, you can't go wrong with this indie classic!
