Good morning, everyone! Hope everyone is doing good and is safe. Today, I want to write about perhaps the most critically well received webcomic, The Cannon Girl. Yesterday I blogged about Weepaman y Weepito, about how the irreverent, biting social satirical humor helped flex my creativity as a writer and served as a way to keep myself lighter in an otherwise involvement of multiple dark storylines, The Cannon Girl was my palette cleanser. It was the one were it was more thoughtful and introspective. It's a series of 12 strips similar to Never Mind, there's no real connection between the strips so it's not like an overarching story. The main character, Lizbeth, is a someone that doesn't let life nor its circumstances bring her down and loves philosophy, as well as be a positive, uplifting presence to her friends and family. The first 12 strips were extremely well received, to the point that during a comic book activity in a mall in Puerto Rico, the owner of an art supply store saw a print out of one of the strips, and asked if she could put it on display in the store. The second season was well on its way on gaining a good following, but as with other projects, many delays happened and plans to have a print version were scrapped also due to losing the original artwork and digital backups. That brings us to 2021. as with other projects, The Cannon Girl seasons 1 & 2 will be remade as part of the Truthful Comics Edition. My goal is to have this strip take the place of Never Mind whenever it enters its seasonal breaks, so I want to have 1 finished season this year, and a second season near completion by 2022, with new material coming out next year. This webcomic really means a lot to me, because of all the webcomics I've made its the one that usually pauses people and makes them think and do introspections of their own, and in a way, it helps me come to terms with my own thoughts and feelings. To everyone who has read this, thank you, you can read it right here in the webcomics section and at the Duck Webcomics www.theduckwebcomics.com/The_Cannon_Girl/ Thank you so much for reading, catch you next blog, until then stay safe! -Alvaro
